It is a prerequisite for skilled migration to Australia under points-based, employer-sponsored, graduate migrant, and temporary graduate visas to have your skills assessed. Skills assessments are issued by relevant skills assessing authorities. A skills assessing authority is an organisation that verifies that your skills meet the requirements for working in a specific field.
Each assessing authority has its own set of processes, timeframes, and fees. For some visa subclasses, obtaining a suitable skills assessment is required
