- The validity of the English Language Proficiency test has been reduced from 3 to 1 year.
- Introduction of the Genuine Student Test (GST) replacing the Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) requirement.
- New Age Limit:
- The age limit for 485 visas has been lowered from 50 to 35 years, emphasizing the role of emerging professionals.
- Reduced Length of Stay:
- The duration of stay for international graduates will be reduced based on qualifications.
- Post Study Work Extension:
- There will be no further opportunities for the extension of post-study work rights.

- The streams will be renamed to Post-Higher Education Work and Post-Vocational Education Work.
